1 + 1 = Squiggly utilizes the human-centered design process to address the needs of K-12 public school teachers and students in the classroom. It combines the practicality of national educational standards with meaningful learning through providing tangible ways to implement STEAM in public schools. Learn more at my blog.
The world is full of visual learners with boundless curiosity. By teaching mathematical and scientific concepts in a visual way we can encourage creative explorations and interpretations. I developed visuals and models to teach geometry and illustrations to teach the natural environment.
I approach play as a way of learning. When we play, we figure out the rules and then find their limitations, making mistakes and asking questions along the way. I developed Fabler as a way of playing with stories, and Infecting Freddie to play with anatomy.
